The Polymath Festival is an annual festival and competition
on the last Saturday of March at Ideal Schools High School in Ashburn,
Virginia. We recognize and celebrate learning, curiosity, ambition, effort, and
achievement.
The Polymath Festival gives exemplary young people
an opportunity to celebrate what they know and can do, and in so doing
encourages them to continue to learn and achieve at the highest levels.
Students currently in grades 7 and 8 compete in a variety of disciplines
on challenges that vary from year to year, giving them an opportunity to use
their knowledge to solve problems, and to see how their peers solve problems.
Non-competitors (including friends, family, and siblings) are encouraged to attend the Festival, and there will be prizes for randomly selected students who do not compete in a challenge.
